I have used Chilkat FTP for years, but then there was some kind of showstopper (probably SFTP, as others said) and so I had to switch to something else, which I downloaded from here and then simply rewired the calls in my Chilkat-based class to be a wrapper around the downloaded ftp.prg (I think from Martina or Martin... should be one of them - unfortunately, no signature in the code). Well, not quite "simply", as the parameters for some calls need to be in the reverse order (specially putfile, where the host and remote were switched... nice debugging night).
