Could grid be replaced for listbox ? If so index on search field, set grid record source to SQL (grid.recordsource = "select searchfield from myTable where searchfield = trim(thisform.txtSearch.value)" ) and call grid.refresh in textbx interactivechange. If I'm not wrong there is a class doing it in files\classes section (also check for Quickfill).
