Firstly, i would like to ask you that, your main form is set to Top-level form or In screen???
I faced the same problem with "In screen " before for my previous developed application. After I checked it, the mistake is I place the following statement in config.fpw:
> screen=off or _screen.visible=.f.
For Top level form, you might check that is "read event" statement placed in Init/Avtivate or something else event???
