>Irregular shaped forms and buttons.........Can't wait.

Irregular shaped forms and buttons isn't hard to do... I just can't figure out way one would want to do it. I've been finding lately many applications that tend to be more "cute" than functional, with the "cuteness" being just a waste of computer resources. Programmers often just add these things just because they can.

Take Symantec's Crashguard. I haven't seen a recent version, but the first version's form was shaped like a shield. It looked cool, but it was slow to refresh and confusing at first.

I'm not against bells and whistles - just that a developer should provide the functionality first, then the bells and whistles.

I have yet to see an application that has irregular shapes used in a practical manner, giving more meaning to the interface and what not. If someone could point out GOOD uses of irregular shapes, I look forward to seeing them.

Best,

jody
