I've heard him say similar things.

Again, I really like Carson. And I know the administration has made it clear that they don't like his feedback, so that's another plus for him in my book. :)

But I've said for years that a president should have served as a full-term governor first, and I have to stick with that. Plus, I think he'd get hammered in debates on policy matters outside of medicine. Even if he'd ultimately have a staff of smart people, he wouldn't be able to rely on that at all times.

Many of Obama's failures are due to total lack of experience at the executive level. He's immature, an amateur and sophomoric. When you think about the overall perception of the government's ability to solve problems in 2008....and then the perception now....it's gone down (and it wasn't great in 2008). A man can't claim to advocate big government if the level of corruption/incompetence has increased, and some of this goes back to his lack of experience. The way he and his followers have handled things really tells the tale as to why.

And as much as I like Carson, I think he might suffer a few of those problems as well. Right now, my expectations are so low that I'd take a moderate and competent Democratic governor over what we have now.
