Manchin has demonstrated that he won't hesitate to voice his opposition to Obama. I liked it when he opposed the administration's lawsuits against states that were trying to enforce immigration laws.. I would probably vote for him before I'd vote for anyone in the R camp right now.

My family and relatives are from West Virginia and I know a WVA Democrat is a bit different than a Chicago Democrat.
