We often zip groups of files where the total amount is larger than 3GB with the zip library from dfPUG. As this calls vfp base functons, individual files have to be below 2GB barrier. We also script WinRAR via Run from vfp whenever we don't mind a DOS prompt on the screen, as WinRAR even in the free version can be scripted. Better compression, uses more than 1 core if available. I believe Winrar allows individual large files but cannot recall specific instance of testing.
