>Using VFP Compression, when compressing files larger than 3 GB it appears that the zip file it produces is corrupted and cannot be unzipped.
>It does not display any error, only when trying to unzip the file it gives the error that the file is corrupted. Is this a known issue or is there a work around or perhaps another tool that I could use to zip files larger than that?
We often zip groups of files where the total amount is larger than 3GB with the zip library from dfPUG. As this calls vfp base functons, individual files have to be below 2GB barrier. We also script WinRAR via Run from vfp whenever we don't mind a DOS prompt on the screen, as WinRAR even in the free version can be scripted. Better compression, uses more than 1 core if available. I believe Winrar allows individual large files but cannot recall specific instance of testing.
