>>Flag on the field....Argument from Intimidation...

I think you mean ad hominem, not intimidation. In fairness, you're quoting somebody about the ACA who has a "repeal Obamacare" section on his website.

>>The numbers come from the actuarial and are available online

PWC has had quite a few things to say about the ACA. Reporters et al seem not to have noticed that PWC decreased their premium increase estimate to 7% average and has removed Arizona's reported 50% increase. Also read the fine print- some states only report bids for >10% increase, such as Louisana, which skews overall figures. Also note that these figures make no reference to subsidies. And people need to compare like with like: if increases are caused by compulsory better coverage, that's like saying that the cost of motor vehicles has risen because you aren't allowed to drive around old dungers any more.

Final point: a different PWC study predicts the cost of healthcare will rise 6.8% in 2015. 6.8% cost increase; 7% premium increase. Sky not falling. And do I see anybody comparing premium price rises to those under the old regime? Without that, this is a measurement of the depth of a river with prediction of flood because it's 100 inches deep. How deep should it be?!

Re Taumata Whakatangi ... no I haven't moved there. Currently I'm in CA where it's 10pm, and you should be asleep. ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
