You mean "compete"? PB is not a bad product, but it's more expensive than vfp, and has no native database, so everything is more difficult to do RAD and prototyping. Also, if we complain about vfp bugs, PB has just as many, and less overall PEMS and functions than vfp, from what I've seen.
I would say that vfp can do more than PB, if you want a direct comparison...
