>>The company just purchased and installed new Windows 8.1 machines. After making changes to a VFP form, saving gives the error message "Memo file \\server\formname.sct is missing or is invalid." Closing the form after that asks if I want to save changes. Selecting Yes gives me a 'VFP has stopped working' Windows error screen and a C5 error. Selecting No gives me a VFP window stating 'File is not open.', and refuses to close the window or VFP short of using Task Manager to kill the instance. Help?

VFP is installed and run locally, just editing files kept on the server drive. Most irritating part is that it throws the error after it saves.
Chris.
