Like works fine. Using a field rather than variable ought to make no difference. If the issue is that the replace is not happening - then is it possible that the field is aliased- e.g.
replace mycursor.qtt with 1
If so, change it to
replace qtt with 1 in mycursor
to eliminate an unexpected VFP behavior in which Replace fails if record pointer is at eof().
