I just re-tried. On the ng-grid page it seems to work until I change the order. After that it stops working.

On the Plunker it is similar. Seems to work originally, then I change the order to names, then I try to change the number of items to 10 and the grid doesn't re-load. However, going to next page it works.

So, I'd say it doesn't work 100% even in these samples.
