Thanks to your suggestion:
It doesn't react to the mouse wheel when the mouse is over the dropdown. It does when it's over the textbox part

I discovered that it does in fact work when the mouse pointer is over the dropdown. It would have taken me years to accidentally discover this. I also use Style=2 Dropdown List. My problem was that it wouldn't scroll if I was over the items in the dropdown list. I wonder if there is a way to code this such that it applies this behavior when you are over the items in the dropdown list? Anyway, thanks so much for your input.
