Joe,

We saw this problem recently. Spent a lot of time but eventually
tracked it down to a faulty network card that needed replacing and which
was OK for most of Microsoft Office (except Excel in very specific
circumstances), but not for that particular FoxPro App.

Hope this helps.

Michel.

>>>I have a customer running and Novell 4.11 server. Whenever he trys to execute any VFP app (including a 2 line exe) he gets the message "Invalid Path or File Name" or gets a Do open file box. He has all the appropriate run time files (vfp500, vfp5enu, oleaut32, vfp5ole, etc..) in the Window System dir. He's also using a Corel network client. I've tried to ge the apps to work on 2 machines. One is a Pentium Pro Compaq machine, and the other is a Pentium Memorex/Telex machine. Anyone ever run into this before or have any ideas how to fix it? I've been trying for 2 solid days to get it working. HELP!! TIA

>No hard coded stuff in there.. works fine on most Novell 4.11 servers, 3.x Novell server, and NT, but just not this one. Spent about 20 hours on the phone trying to get it to work. I compiled a 2 line app to test on this netowrk

>That code right there when compiled to an EXE will not run on this machine.. Gives an error "invalid path or file name" or gives the user a "Do" box. Does one or the other at random.. I've shipped them a VFP 6 equivilent of the same program, and DLLs.. haven't heard if it works or not.. I give it a 10% chance of working.. any other ideas?? TIA!
