Certainly weird. I assume that any automated transfers *into* your account are arriving OK ?

Chances are that, regardless of what they claim, the money is being taken from someone else. When they find out, in spite of the fact that you've made your best effort to put things right, they'll almost certainly come back on you for the back payments :-{
