Allo!
I moderate a new echo under FIDONET, it's call 2000.
And we come to argument about the YEAR 2000 BUG. Some of the member are
argumente most of the xbase language are year 2000 ready, cause it's store year
in a 4 digit format, and the programmer have only to turn that option on to
have a year 2000 ready application.
But some other argument, when you are near the end of the century, it's
reasonnable to have the database package ASSUME it's year 2000 when you type
only 00 in a 2 digit year field.
When the software ASSUME that, you don't have to RE-WRITE all your application
to use the 4 digits year format.
Their is some package already assume that, it's plan for next release or
an outherspace feature, not plan before long time.
Your advise will be more than welcome.
And visit us at a FIDO BBS near your place.
Appreciate
Gilles
