Larry,

I had this one a couple of years ago and it was due to the fact that a table was included into my project. I then used the table from the project because it was a security definition table containing a list of all secured objects for the application for user access. You must USE 'table' NOUPDATE when you open the table otherwise you get the error message you are receiving. At least that was the problem I had.
