The web documentation all seems to expect that the installation concluded correctly and the IIS Express service is running. I do not know if it is. How can test this and how do I copy a copy of the web site to it?

IIS Express is just an executable so you need to find the folder where it's installed and then launch it. You tend to pass the path where the virtual directory lives on your drive and a port address that IIS Express will be listening on.

There's a bunch of info on IIS Express here in the Web Connection documentation:
http://www.west-wind.com/webconnection/docs/?page=_3nj01rj5n.htm

At the very bottom is the command line syntax for launching IIS Express.
