The open source stuff is backend and web. No winforms. No WPF. I haven't looked into details of what Xamarin is doing with desktop.


>To be honest I had written off M$ and had not followed this cross platform trend. Is it possible to write desktop code that is really cross platform? Xamarin only reports windows and Mac - no Linux. The Xamarin website suggest that it's only c#. The article suggest that all the languages i.e. Python, VB, etc.. will be cross platform.
