Nick, first, it's now generally accepted that the hasty withdraw from Iraq was a significant factor in our now "coming back". Remember that in 2009 this president and his VP took major credit for the elections in Iraq.

I'd say the situation in the Middle East right now has meltdown written all over it, regardless.

You also might want to go back and review the events in Libya in 2011-2012, and the increasing body of evidence of our actual involvement in Syria by way of the diverting of weapons through Benghazi. This administration grossly underestimated the intent of those who wanted Khadafi out.
