I was running SqlServer 2008 with a connection string as follows:
MyServer\SqlExpress ......
..all woking Honky Dory

I upgraded to SqlServer2014, copied acroos the Apps, and all working fine with my Connection string (ON THE SERVER)
MyServer2014\SqlExpress ......

Then tried to get it working form a Client PC on the Lan....kept coing up with Cannot Find Server or Not Sufficient Rights etc

After spendng about 2 days changing rights, to no avail, I renamed the Connection string , removing the SqlExpress bit
Now works fine on both the Server and the Client, but will only work on the Client if I have removed the SqlExpress bit from the connection string

Anybody know why this is...I would not have expected it to work without the SqlExpress bit ???
