Oh OK , Mike. Now I see where you are coming from. I agree, I don't see a need to show data in a second view from a first view but there is no reason why it couldn't be done. Just bad design.

The original message talks about a view actually containing data retrieved from the contents of another view, which is what I was questioning, not having the parameters a view being derived from another view. The approach you've outlined, IMO, is virtually the only way to do child views.
