>>>>>What is really alarming is the statistics of % of cops indicted vs non-cops indicted - and also the % of convictions of cops vs non-cops. Look at the numbers and it's obvious... WAY WAY obvious that cops are simply treated differently in the court system. Plus if you happen to be a white cop who shoots a black guy, you can pretty much be assured you're getting away with it no matter what.

>>>>Do you honestly think that if the cop who shot Michael Brown was black, he would be indicted? I personally doubt it very much. I agree that cops are indeed treated differently; but it is the same for black and white cops.
>>>
>>>So you're saying that if a black cop killed a white kid the same way, he'd be off the hook just as easily?

>Um... the previous message has several percentage signs, which I take mean nothing in a specific case, but rather imply statistics.

Percentage signs mean something when they come from a reputable source. When someone writes them in a UT message they have little credence.
>> As to the general question of cops-vs-public, Google of how many cases you find (say, this year) of a black cop killing a white kid and being indicted?
>
>Don't even know how to start googling for such information (without getting a flood of irrelevant commentary). So I thought I better ask.
Let's review.
1. Victor said that white cops get away with no punishment no matter what they do.
2. I said that I agreed but that it is the same for white or black cops; cops get away with no punishment regardless of the race.
3. You insinuated, with your question, that I was wrong and that a black cop would not be off the hook as would be a white cop.
4. I asked to find any case(s) of a black cop being indicted for killing a white person and you said you don't know how to use Google for that.
I think very highly of your technical skills, knowledge of English, knowledge of Internet and doing on-line searches. You let me down :)
