>>>Here's how run down I am - I have no energy to debate ACA, or immigration, or Ferguson. Does that tell you something?

>I shy away from specific advice online and a couple of days have gone by... but I was unaware of the 2 months of being unwell and had presumed that the diagnosis of pneumonia is medically made and that as the cause usually is bacterial, you'd be on antibiotics. At this point it doesn't matter as you are describing rigors that are not cool (groan.) So if you haven't already- allow Katie a visit to grandma or a play date and get your wife to take you into whatever medical care is available on a Sunday. That you didn't respond to Marcia or Bill makes me wonder whether you're already in a medical hotel with an IV in, but I guess we'll find out.
I was on antibiotics twice - once for bronchitis and then for a mild case of pneumonia. I was starting to get better when this latest bug hit, and we think I got it from my daughter (her kindergarten and day care both have several sick kids right now).
Actually, what you described wasn't too far off. My wife's mother watched Katy while my wife took me to the emergency room today. The night before I was doing all the ugly stuff that happens when you get a stomach bug, and it was pretty severe. They thought I was mildly dehydrated but wasn't in need of IV. They did full blood work, etc. - and gave me some meds for the symptoms and a shot of bentyl (plus dicyclomine pills) for the stomach pains, which were really severe.
I managed to sleep much of the evening, and amazingly the stomach pains have gone way down. I hope this is the end of it.
