Have you tried:
* Assign an icon through the project (open project, select from menu Project / Project Info, put tickmark on "Attach icon", then click on "Icon" button to select an icon). This works for things you compile as an EXE.
* Add an ICO file to your project (under the "Other files" category), then in your main program assign _SCREEN.ICON to the filename.
