A client of mine in Santa Monica CA needs an experienced VB consultant to review a VB project in progress, then recommend whether the project be continued as is, started over in VB, or maybe even started over in another language.

This may be a one-shot deal, you give a recommendation then leave, or you may, if that's how it turns out, be able to bid on redoing the project.

The app will replace a Clipper app that I wrote years ago which can't be make Y2K-ready ( because no one knows where the oft-changed-after-I-was-gone source is, among other things ).

The new app is a mission-critical accounting package that will record extremely complicated commodities transactions, create invoices and statements, and pipe data to Platinum. Even though the dollar amounts may be large, it must balance to the penny every day without fail.
