>Is there a way to release a form from within the INIT method? I have tried RELEASE THISFORM and it doesn't work. I have a situation where I load a form and if one of the methods on the loaded form (which I call from the INIT method) produces a critical error I want to immediately release the form.

If you return .F. from Init, the form never gets instantiated.
