Most of the topics are power-tip, intermediate/advanced level. So it's not intended as a session for beginners.
However, for someone who has built reporting apps with other report tools, and wants to see how certain things would be implemented in SSRS, some knowledge might "rub off". If nothing else, you get to see how certain tasks (tasks that many SSRS developers have to face) can be implemented.
So if you intend to use SSRS in the future, and have the opportunity to go, I think it'll be worth it.
