Koufax had good post-season numbers and his ERA in the World Series was outstanding.
Kershaw's post-season numbers have been bloody awful.
It's one thing (and certainly an important thing) to have a great record in the regular season. Kershaw has been the best regular season pitcher over the last few years. But it's quite another to be money in the playoffs against the best team from the other league.
Pitchers like Koufax, Schilling, Bumgarner have been clutch post-season performers who all won playoff MVP honors. I admit I'm biased on Schilling, but let's face it, he has one of the greatest post-season track records of all time.
But so long as Kershaw keeps getting hammered in the post-season, I don't put him in the same rarified air as the other ones. Borrowing from the theme of the Tuna (Bill Parcells), "Sorry, Charlie" :)
