Could someone please clarify (and I did look on-line first but could not find a definitive answers) how to read the Developer Tools Element pane (in both IE and Chrome).
When I see an element and the check box is checked and the value is crossed-out, does the browser render this value? For example, if I see the following

[x] font-size 14px; /* the entire line is crossed out */
]
}Does the browser render this font size? If I un-check it, how does it change the rendering? Why is the line crossed out?
