If you follow Dmitry, you'll know it will take him a year or so to get to Angular. He's a very busy guy.
As for learning what's there now, I purposely didn't jump into Angular 1.x, knowing that Google almost always pushes out beta versions first. I have no issues with my decision not to dig into Angular much and am happy to wait for 2.0.
