Have you tried the "brute force" method by using two report variables?

old_key = cur_key
cur_key = keyvalue
(make sure that the variables appear in the specified order -- set the initial values so that they're set to the desired types so that you don't get an error in the print when clause)

in the print when of the "continued" message, use expression keyvalue==old_key.
