Are you more concerned with the device being stolen or data being accessed?

>I have a Sony Vaio Duo 13, the one that is a laptop and a tablet at the same time. While most would agree to say that each of those devices should have a lock-ready device mechanism, I just can't find anything like that on this one. So, obviously, it does not have one. What other type of security can be implemented to avoid someone to run away with the laptop?
