How is Katy taking it? My family moved when I was about her age and it was traumatic at first. It turned out to be the door to something even better. Paint it as an adventure and not a departure and she will be just fine. The Statue of Liberty, Wall Street, the Empire State building, even the WTC site. Introduce her to the great roaring city.
