>>> Dual Boot Tablet PC features Windows 8.1 + Android 4.4 OS,come with RAM 2GB DDR3L and ROM 64GB eMMC,9.7 Inch Retina Screen with 2048*1536 resolution,2.0M Front and 5.0M Back Camera.
>>>
>>>Not a super fast tablet - but heck for $200 it seems interesting - dual boot, killer resolution, and 3G capable. I just might plop down 200 bucks to give it a shot.
>>
>>For the price interestimg just by the fact of dual boot plus SD card - but I am pretty certain this is one of the Frankenstein CPUs, 64 bit enabled but only able to connect to 2GB of physical.

>I am officially declaring the Acer dead. At the moment I am deciding whether to swap the #2 computer in or just order a new one. A person can never have too many computers. All recommendations appreciated. The #2 is technically more powerful than the dead #1, All I really need to do is reconfigure the former #2 and reinstall the software, which as you know is a PITA.

If you start from zero again, do it RIGHT:
set up 3 to 6 VM for different tasks
(internet access to easily swype, dev machine, DB server, test env, personal stuff like letters and data,)
install each of those and back them up on a USB disk regularly.
Minimal install of OS or hypervisor on the physical machine and a way to carry your environments in your back pocket
If the next HW barfs, you are rolling within an H again, depending on your level of paranoia you can think about backing up #2,#3 and #4 to AWS or other cloud, to be ready to work within a few minutes
