"skype 7 how to remove home page" is what I was googling for. And guess what, no such thing. I'm getting dozens of pages on how to

- delete history (delete is synonimous with remove, in the engine's mind)

- remove skype from windows 7 (hey, I said 7, didn't I?)

- remove skype from windows 7 taskbar (hey, I said 7, didn't I? - and just findiing the "start skype when windows starts" checkbox seems to be near impossible to find for so many subgenius people)

- how to change or delete contacts

- delete the skype name from the login screen (seems an issue with so many people - still, why does the engine consider "home page" and "login screen" synonymous?)

- one semi-relevant article related to 5.5 - which says it was fixed in 6.0, which is again irrelevant because homepage came back with a larger calibre of enforcement in 7.0

- how to remove ads from chat windows (wow - yet another mysterious checkbox for subgeniuses...)

And, of course, just about nothing on the subject I was searching. Putting quotation marks around word pairs does nothing - "remove homepage" still returns results for "delete name from login" and such.

Tried the same with ask.com and yahoo - equally useless.

IOW, the battle between the search engines and the language is lost. Language won.

And, ah, if anyone knows how to get rid of the homepage, let me know. It keeps popping every few dozen minutes, showing me the same two geese and select messages from same three people - two of which I haven't contacted for a number of years now - only because these messages contain links to youtube or facebook. As a search engine trying to pique my interest on my own content (but why is it trying that at all?), it fails miserably.

Here, I thought I'll feel better if I unload this, but I don't.
