As I said earlier, we have disabled the anti virus software and I did double check that.

As for the year end having an effect, at first I thought it must be something to do with data but since it does not matter which table I pull data from, and the results being the same, I think I can rule that out.

I should mention I did restart the server and have had all users get out of the app several times so I believe I can rule out some workstation having something somehow cached.

I will be changing the server out over the weekend. We will be moving to a Server 2008 R2. Guess I am hoping the problem will magically disappear but not overly hopeful about that.

I will be able to conduct my tests before going live with the new server. I will post results.
