Well, as a first step towards re-acceptance back in this group, we require some sort of accounting of just what exactly you've been up to. More than a year - you could've had a kid, for crying out loud!

ha ha ha! Too funny, Al ... I'm waaaay past child-bearing age. Besides, I've got 3 adult kids who are all on their own; why the heck would I want a little monster rug-rat at my age!!! < g >

So, what have I been doing for more than a year? Within a week after I dropped out of here, another company bought the IP of our struggling startup company, Geneva Systems Group, and hired Gary and I to work for them. It was a strangely structured acquisition ... they only wanted us and the software that we had been developing for 5 years. So we still have Geneva as an incorporated company, but no product. Kinda weird. And they still owe us money ... the acquisition was structured such that they would pay us the "purchase" price in installment payments. Not the way we would have liked to have been acquired, but at the point "beggars can't be choosers" ... if anyone remembers from back then, we had pretty much run out of money.

It's been interesting, although much of what we had been doing before we were acquired hasn't changed much. Still "integrating" disparate systems together. Did a few "test" deployments for some possible DoD contracts for monitoring sensors, which was quite interesting and we had to learn some new stuff (like listening on TCP ports). Fun stuff until the money ran out for this particular DoD project and the DoD dropped it.

On my own time, I've been playing a bit with cross-platform mobile with Xamarin. We're thinking maybe that will be the next thing we do after we're tired of working for these guys.

Anyway, that's pretty much it in a nutshell.
