>Of course the NFL has problems. The league needs to address them. But boycotting the Super Bowl? It's like a wreck on the highway -- you can't look away. Plus the ads are worth watching even if the game isn't.

The super bowl has been a social event among my friends and family as long as I can remember.
The NFL and professional sports in general have lost a lot of their luster for me but I must say that the final minutes of the Seattle/Green Bay game - the only game I watched this year- got me revved up and I'll be looking forward to seeing Seattle take on the Patriots.
And, yes, the ads and half time show are a lot of fun.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
