Tom,

There is a good article in FPA, August 1998, "Remote Views + Query-by-form...." that shows how to build what you want into a query screen so users can change the fields in the where clause.

I'm hoping to build a similar screen into the application I'm working on.

>Unfortunately I can't use the designer this way. The fields in the where clause will differ all the time. For instance it could be "Where last_name = 'Conway'" or it could be "Where first_name = 'Tom'". The where cluase can contain one or many indexed fields.
