I went to Northwestern and it cost $4600 a year just for tuition. That was outrageously expensive back then. I worked board service at the fraternity where I lived, washing dishes. (And before you diss fraternities, those guys are among my best friends to this day). My father and I split the cost. He came from nothing and was a self made man. I was the first person in the family to go to college. He said make this count. Yeah, I washed dishes and have done even worse jobs.
