They have a 64-bit but as VS is a 32-bit platform, if I put a 64-bit component in the project, which forces me to for a platform x64 and a target x64, I can no longer see my interface.

It doesn't look like we'll see a 64bit Visual Studio 2015. ...and frankly I don't see them ever creating one, it would be pretty much a rewrite.
