Since the meltdown, just about everything that can be predicted has been, and often by the same person.
For the first few years after the meltdown, I followed Paul Krugman pretty closely but that ended when:
a. his forecasts turned out to be dead wrong
b. he blamed other people when his forecasts fizzled.
His counterparts on the right were even worse, but that came as no surprise- those were the people who had been advising GW Bush.
The hero (or the goat- depending on how things go in the future) of this recovery will be Ben Bernanke.
My Obama comment is ironically aimed at those who said his policies would break the bank.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
