Hm, I'm not the professional of Load driven data - For all the time I use the cursors with my code in Init and later set the controlsources
Same problem to your approach of concenation. I use a VIEW / CA the put the concenation in a SQL statement.

Anyway if you use LOAD event to create the data, it should be there during the INIT event.

So if
somecontrol.CONTROLSOURCE = 'alias.field'
runs fine

your example (adding two fields to on consecutive source) is the problem

All I can remember is that there was something with brackets and non just-field-controlsources.
