>>I never got a chance to play with Xamarin this weekend, I played with cameras intead ... we're going to Yosemite in April and have decided to make it a photography trip, with tripods and fancy cameras. So, I've got to get used to using Gary's digital Nikon D700, which I haven't used before. So I've been practicing a bit on the weekends. He's going to actually use a film camera (a medium format View camera), but he hasn't used it in maybe 10 years. He'll also be developing the film himself ... something he's done before, but that was more than 30 years ago. So, he's been practicing too! < g >

>Boy does that bring back memories. I had a 4x5 that I lugged around for years. Did my own processing, was trying to master Adams' Zone System. But, alas, that and all my Nikon equipment was stolen in '77 at the marine base. Lost about 20,000 in equipment.

>Good luck on your trip. Let me know where you post the pictures, would love to see them.

I had no idea you were into photography (and Ansel Adams and his Zone System)! Gary's view camera is a 6x9 Horsemen. He's got a ton of Nikon stuff too (both digital and not). He wanted to be a professional photographer when he was younger (shot lots of wildlife photos, especially birds), but that just never happened.

It may take awhile before we ever get any pictures posted. We went to Yosemite in early November too and I never got around to processing any of my pictures, nevermind posting them anywhere. But, that wasn't really a photography trip either. In fact, it was probably the first time we went to Yosemite without dragging a ton of camera gear with us. I only had a small digital "snapshot" camera. It fits in my pocket!

But, yeah, I'll let you know ...
