Right, I know Microsoft explain it in the manual. That's not what I meant. I mean, what a ridiculous couple of hoops to jump through to do that. I mean, it is Visual Foxpro, right? Why not have a drop down list there in the grid. That's why I call it a kludge, it's not intuitive. You're point is well taken though. The answer is often in the manual! <s>
