>I wrote a full comparison tool for comparing VCX class to class, VCX to VCX (all classes), PRG to PRG, SCX to SCX, DBC to DBC (schema), and DBF to DBF (schema). Below is a link to my drop box account to download it. If you are interested in the source code, please let me know and I will send you a link for this too.

Hi Greg,

I finally killed the bigger alligators and got around to trying your utility. I was eventually able to run it but ran into a couple of issues:

1. When I try to run it under VFP9 SP1 (on Win7Pro 64-bit in a VirtualBox VM) I get an error "Library file {SomeDrivePath\GKKCompare.fll} is invalid". Is this something in my environment or is GKKCompare not compatible with SP1?

2. If I run it under VFP9 SP2 (on Win7Ult 64-bit on bare metal) the app starts. I select VCX on the initial choice screen. On the form I select "Class-to-Class" because I want to compare 2 classes within the same class library. Then I click on the yellow Open File button. In the dialog, clicking on an ellipsis button crashes with an error "Property GKKTOOLS is not found".

If I manually type in the VCX file name, then select the classes I want to compare within the VCX, it works OK. I compared two classes that I knew were nearly identical so there wasn't much difference, as expected.

Unfortunately, I haven't yet found why the classes are behaving differently :-/
