If you have the app installed on the laptop, set up the laptop so it can be controlled remotely (requires Pro 7 or Pro 8 or higher). Basically you're enabling Remote Desktop.

Then your test users:

1. Connect to your LAN via VPN
2. Remote-control your laptop and run your app

If the laptop isn't a Pro version and doesn't include a Remote Desktop server, you can install other products such as TeamViewer, LogMeIn etc. In fact, as 3rd-party mediated services these latter 2 options don't even need a VPN.
