FYI -

I'm thinking that VFP conforms to an older ODBC version whereas the iSeries Client Access driver conforms to a newer standard.

I don't know what version of ODBC VFP conforms to, however.

I have been testing out calling Win32 directly for ODBC and it appears this is the possible way to go. I intend on creating a wrapper for connecting and a wrapper for sqlexec as well as disconnecting ... something along the lines of xSQLSTRINGCONNECT(), xSQLEXEC(), and xSQLDISCONNECT().

They would work similar to existing VFP functions of similar name with the exception of not C0000005 on me.
