Mike I have no issue with someone saying, "I can't be at event ABC because I'm speaking at event XYZ".

And Craig is correct, he's the only one who can promote himself.

The issue is people saying, "I'm speaking at an event" while there's still a call for speakers going on. It has a whiff of potential unfairness for others.
